Zero Latency CEO, Tim Ruse, said “We are excited to partner with Advent Partners to drive further growth and cement our positions as the market leader in the Free-roam VR space. We’re proud of our hard work over the last few years, and Advent’s capital injection and expertise will help fuel our next leg of growth.”
Advent Partners is one of Australia’s most experienced private investment firms. Since its founding over 35 years ago, Advent has invested in over 90 businesses.
Advent’s investment was led by Symon Vegter and Mark Jago. Symon Vegter says “It is the ideal time to get into the location-based VR sector, with consumers increasingly seeking new experiences, creating a large opportunity for Zero Latency VR, which is one of the fastest-growing, and the most disruptive player in this space.”
Zero Latency VR Co-Founders Tim Ruse, Scott Vandonkelaar and Kyel Smith will continue to lead the Business in their roles as CEO, CTO and COO respectively.
The news follows an exciting start to the year for Zero Latency VR in which the company surpassed the 1 million player mark, further expanded its global footprint with the first Italian venue opening in Milan and the release of Far Cry VR, the world's first AAA Free Roam VR game, in partnership with Ubisoft.
